On the night of the DANA storm, the IKEA in Valencia became a refuge for hundreds of people, thanks to its elevated building, which protected them from the floods. Days later, these same people began sharing their experiences in Google Maps reviews — stories filled with emotion and gratitude that would otherwise easily be forgotten. To gather and bring these experiences to life, we created TACK: a project that transformed digital reviews into a physical and timeless object, a one-of-a-kind book. To illustrate it, we invited Valencian artists — all from the region affected by the catastrophe — to collaborate, giving visual voice to stories that were also their own.
